AIMS
To be able to safely de-escalate and/or place an elderly person into a safe hold when they are displaying behaviours that pose a serious risk to themselves or others

- Understand triggers and develop de-escalation and communication strategies knowing that any safe hold is the last resort
- Demonstrate the safest and most secure way of safely holding residents whilst taking into account Health & Safety risks to them, yourself and others
