By the end of the course, delegates will:

  • Recognise the symptoms and the inactivity spiral
  • Describe the physical and emotional impact on daily life
  • Interpret grades of airflow limitation correctly
  • Describe what genuinely indicates how somebody is doing
  • Support correct inhaler technique across device types
  • Handle prescribed oxygen safely and within its limits
  • Recognise a flare-up and escalate appropriately
  • Apply positioning, breathing and pacing techniques
  • Monitor against a baseline and support planning ahead
