Deliver effective, person-centred support to people living with dementia
By the end of the course, delegates will:
- Recognise the common symptoms of dementia
- Know the relevant UK legislation and duties under it
- Understand the main types of dementia, their risk factors and safety considerations
- Apply person-centred approaches in all aspects of care and support
- Understand and respond positively to behaviours of concern
- Support effective communication and promote independence
- Know how to work in partnership with families and signpost to further support

Up to 15 delegates per session.
Do delegates receive a certificate?
Yes — every delegate receives a certificate on completion. Certificates are valid for 2 years, so plan refresher training before they expire.
