The role

What you’ll do

This is a field-based, freelance role delivering face-to-face training at our clients’ care services. We provide the training content and course materials, so you can focus on delivering it well.

  • Deliver engaging, in-person training to groups of care staff
  • Deliver our course content, with the materials provided for you
  • Keep your sessions inclusive and learner-centred
  • Manage your own CPD, with our support
  • Represent Orchard Rock professionally on site

The role involves travel to different client sites. Some overnight stays may be needed, but we keep these to a minimum and give as much notice as we can.

Location

Where do you need trainers?

We work with clients across the UK and welcome trainers from all regions. Wherever you’re based, there may be work near you. Tell us the area you can cover when you apply, and we’ll match you to work close to home where we can.

Requirements

What experience is required?

A recognised training qualification and the ability to travel are essential. Care sector experience is a real advantage.

Essential

  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Your own equipment
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A self-motivated, proactive approach

Desirable

  • A background in Health and Social Care
  • Previous experience in training or teaching

We review it

We look at your experience and qualifications and get back to you.

Interview over Zoom

An informal interview and chat over Zoom about the role, your subjects and your availability.

Attend a shadow session

You’ll attend a session to see how we deliver. The shadow session is unpaid, but if you take part you’ll gain the certification for that course, so it counts towards your CPD.

Complete the paperwork

If it’s a good fit, you’ll sign our contractor service level agreement and a non-disclosure agreement.

Onboarding and support

Once you’re set up, we send your onboarding pack and daily procedures, and support you as you start delivering.
