Know your duty of care and act on it

This course explains what duty of care means in practice, the legislation behind it, and what to do when things go wrong — from mistakes and near misses to complaints and conflict. By the end of the course, delegates will:

  • Know what your duty of care is and to whom
  • Understand the definitions used in duty of care
  • Know which legislations relate to duty of care and why
  • Be aware of your responsibilities and your employer’s
  • Understand the importance of an individual’s right to live independently whilst keeping them safe from harm
