Aseptic technique training helps your team carry out aseptic procedures competently and consistently, using the non-touch principles that protect the vulnerable sites on the people they care for. Delivered on-site by a registered nurse.

Carry out aseptic procedures safely and consistently

By the end of the course, delegates will:

  • Explain why asepsis matters most for the people least able to withstand infection
  • Know the regulated duty that aseptic practice is measured against
  • Distinguish asepsis, sterility, antisepsis and clean technique
  • Identify the Key-Parts and Key-Sites in the procedures they carry out
  • Choose between Standard and Surgical-ANTT as a risk assessment, not a habit
  • Carry out hand hygiene to the five moments, and select the right method
  • Prepare the person, the place and the equipment before opening a pack
  • Handle sharps, waste and an inoculation injury safely and report them
