  • Describe how disease extent decides treatment
  • Recognise a flare, and know what to report
  • Identify the flare that has become an emergency
  • Explain why maintenance treatment continues when well
  • Give rectal medicines competently and with dignity
  • Report infection promptly in an immunosuppressed person
  • Support somebody with a stoma or an internal pouch
