About the course

Everyday first aid confidence for your whole team

First Aid Awareness gives every member of staff the fundamentals: what to do first, how to keep a casualty safe, and how to respond to the most common emergencies. By the end of the course, delegates will:

  • Explain the first aider’s role and the three aims of first aid
  • Know your legal duties, RIDDOR reporting and DNACPR/ReSPECT decisions
  • Work through the primary survey (DRCABCDE) in the correct order
  • Give effective CPR, use an AED, and respond to choking
  • Place someone in the recovery position and recognise a suspected spinal injury
  • Recognise and respond to burns, asthma attacks and seizures

Up to 12 delegates per session — we keep practical groups smaller so everyone gets hands-on time.
