By the end of the course, delegates will:
- Select and use equipment correctly and safely
- Apply hand hygiene and infection control between observations
- Take and record an accurate tympanic temperature
- Take and record an accurate radial pulse (rate, rhythm, strength)
- Take and record an accurate respiratory rate
- Take and record an accurate blood pressure reading
- Take and record an accurate pulse oximetry (SpO₂) reading
- Understand and be able to complete a NEWS2 score
- Know when and how to escalate a concern

Do delegates receive a certificate?
Yes — every delegate receives a certificate on completion. Certificates are valid for 1 year, so plan refresher training before they expire.
