Carers often visit on their own. Lone worker training covers risk assessment, safety measures and what your policies expect.

Some clients need clinical care at home, such as tracheostomy or PEG care. Our clinical trainers bring these skills to your team on-site.

Getting everyone together is hard when carers are out on visits. For this reason, combining several subjects into one visit can save you training days.

Frequently asked questions
What training do domiciliary care workers need?
Most agencies start with core subjects such as moving and handling, safeguarding, infection control and medication. Lone working and personal care are also common for home care teams. If you support complex packages, add the clinical skills your clients need.
Do you train staff for complex home care packages?
Yes. We deliver clinical courses such as tracheostomy care, ventilator care, PEG and PEJ care and catheterisation. Some are designed for nurses, so each course page explains who it suits.
What is the Domiciliary Practitioner course?
It is a four-day programme for home care teams. It covers subjects including diabetes, basic life support, mental health, dementia, medication administration and dysphagia.
Can home care training run over Zoom?
Theory-based courses can run live over Zoom. However, practical courses such as moving and handling need to be delivered on-site.
How many carers can attend a session?
Up to 15 delegates per session, or up to 12 on practical courses.
